Last visit at the Dr. Mitchell-Leef's office today. Both Baby A and B were moving around a lot! It seems so strange that I can't feel them moving - but yet they are so active. I guess that's another 2 months away before I feel them. They are now 44mm each - almost 2 inches with nice healthy heart beats.
We're about 30% of the way through the pregnancy. Wow!
Today is the first time I walked past a mirror and said - WOW - that's a baby pooch. Up until now, I've just felt like I was gaining weight with a general thickening of my waist line. today - it was my lower belly pushing out. How cute!
Today is the first day the I go maternity clothes shopping. First, Shirley and I have a nice visit by having a pedicure and then lunch at a cute Buckhead French Bistro.
We then ran over to Phipps Plaza and went in to A Pea In The Pod. What a cute store. I try on a few outfits with their padded baby bump. I can already tell that their baby bump is going to be way too small for twins - but you still get the idea. We leave buying a few tops and a pair of black pants. I can only imagine that I'll be really sick of these cute clothes later on this year.
This was a big milestone... we are now 10 weeks and 2 days pregnant and it's time for another ultrasound. We've never made it this far before - but I feel really good going in. I just feel "pregnant" and that's a good thing.
Sure enough - the babies are doing great. Baby A is wriggling around, while Baby B tries to sleep through the exam. They are now 34mm each - almost 1.5 each.
I'm so happy to have made it this far and it's starting to seem so real! Of course, I've been EXHAUSTED the past 3 or 4 weeks. I've been taking 2 hour naps every day from 5-7pm - and even them, I'm still drained.
We're 8 weeks along and the babies are doing great. They are 17 and 18 mm long crown to rump. We can see their head and chest and little foot and arm buds as well as their umbilical cords. Heartbeats look strong and can be clearly heard on the doppler. Amazing! Baby A & B Keep sending thoughts and prayers for a healthy pregnancy. We're not out of the woods yet - but we're optimistic.
I'm a new mid-life Momma who is very proud of her babies. On this blog, I'm trying to keep up with all of the activities and goings on - both major and minor.
As the youngest of five children, there weren't many pictures of me growing up (then again, there wasn't digital photography either). So - I'm over-compensating and over-documenting! Hope Connor, Kate and Kylie enjoy reading this blog about their early years (once they learn to read)!
